Donald T. and Deborah K. Green of Safety Harbor, Fla., are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Amanda, to Scott Griffin, son of Frank and Jeanne Griffin of Richmond on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009.
The couple were married at dusk in the Regent Ballroom at the Elms Resort and Spa in Excelsior Springs by Chaplain Shelly Scheibeler.
The ballroom was dressed in candlelight and the aisles lined with rose petals. The bride was given away by her father, Donald Green.
The bride’s gown was a Pronovias off-white gown with a sweetheart neckline and lace accented straps.
Maid of honor was Katie Love who carried a fuschia bouquet. Bridesmaids were Jenna Seiling, Melissa Murphy, Gina Macaluso, Marni Shrum and Monica Kissick. All of the bridesmaids worse a short silver blue cocktail dress with gold sandals and carried fuschia bouquets. The flower girl was Riley Atwood. Ring bearer was Griffin Martin.
Best man was Adam Cain. Groomsmen were Trevor Best, Schuyler Johnson, Eric Mills, Nick Krieger and Brandon Oberkamp. Ushers were Ty Griffin, Cam Griffin, Trent Johnson and Zach Griffin.
During the ceremony, Jim Lammers played acoustic guitar.
After the ceremony, guests proceeded outside to the gazebo and courtyard for the reception. Tables were blanketed by a ceiling of twinkle lights and decorated with large floral arrangements in glass vases. With the gazebo setting the stage for a night of dancing, DJ Kirby from Mix 93.3 provided the music.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Florida State University and teaches in the Kansas City, Kan. school system.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Richmond High School and is a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is employed by Northrop Grummond.
