Megan Layman scored 10 of her game-high 22 points in the first quarter to help the Hardin-Central Lady Bulldogs get off to a fast start Tuesday night at Bosworth.
Allison Oyler chipped in 6 of her 11 points in the opening frame as Hardin-Central built a 16-1 first quarter lead on the way to a 72-25 CLAA victory.
The Lady Bulldogs, now 3-1, held a 33-6 lead at halftime and a 21-12 scoring advantage in the third frame boosted their cushion to 45-18 heading into the final 8 minutes with the running clock.
Every Lady Bulldog suited up got into the scoring act with Frankie Chilcutt adding 13 points and Kayla Carrillo adding 6. Also scoring for the Lady Dawgs were Hannah Noelker, Lindsey Arbogast, Angelica Bradley and Morgan Griggs with 4 each, while Ashley Ross and Shona Hall added 2 apiece.
Autumn Wooden led Bosworth scoring with 8 points.
Bosworth hit just 8 field goals for the night, and added 6 free throws in 17 trips to the line. Hardin-Central connected on 35 field goals, all of them inside the arc, and then hit a pair of free throws in a half dozen attempts.
