The Orrick Lady Bearcats had very little trouble in its first-round Class 1, District 15 match at Wellington-Napoleon on Monday night. Orrick, the No. 2 seed, swept Kansas City Southeast by 25-7 and 25-6 finals to advance to the semifinals.
Sophomore Amy Isenhour dished out 16 assists in the Orrick victory to reach 1,000 for her career. Brooke Endsley led the way in service points with 20 – 14 of which were aces. She also added 5 kills in 8 attacks for Orrick.
Amanda Rodenberg had 11 points with 8 attacks, 4 kills and 5 aces. Leslie Lafavor had 6 points, 3 aces and 3 digs for the evening.
Orrick improves to 13-14-2 for the season and will meet third-seeded Braymer at 5 p.m. this evening. Braymer swept its opening match with Wentworth Military Academy on Monday night.
