Saints end Orrick winning streak

St. Paul’s put an end to Orrick’s three-game I-70 Conference victory string Thursday night as the Saints swept the visiting Lady Bearcats 25-9, 25-20.
It was Orrick’s first loss in four conference matches, while also dropping the Lady Bearcats to 7-11-1 overall.
St. Paul remains unbeaten in four conference matches and also improves its overall record to 13-4.
Shelby Harth and Leslie Lafavor served up 6 points each to lead Orrick.
Amanda Rodenberg had 5 service points, including the lone ace for the night. Rodenberg also 13 attacks, 5 kills and 3 digs.
Brooke Endsley, Amy Isenhour and Miranda Williams added 4 service points apiece for the Lady Bearcats. Endsley and Harth had 3 digs each.
The Orrick junior varsity also lost in two games 6-25 and 16-25.
Lauren Twyman had a half-dozen points for the Lady Bearcat JV, with 3 aces.
She also had 4 attacks, a kill and 2 digs. Jena Shaw and Chelsie Meyer each had a team-high 5 digs, with Jessika John leading the way in kills with 3.
