Marceline’s Kendra Beaver was the medalist of a triangular match at Shirkey Golf Course Tuesday with co-hosts Orrick and Richmond, but it was the Lady Bearcats coming up with a pair of team victories with their 245.
Orrick’s total was 3 shots better than the Lady Spartans, with Marceline shooting a 254.
Beaver carded a 4-over par 42 for the afternoon’s low score, while Leslie Russell of Richmond had her season-low of 47 to finish as the runner-up. Kristee Harris had the low round for the Lady Bearcats with 52. Alyssa Sands shot a 61 for Orrick, followed by Bailey Schreier with 63, Bailee Jeffries with 69 and Kailyn Dowell with 75.
Jordan Thoreson and Kadee McMillan each shot 66 for the Lady Spartans, with Zoe Harper carding a 69.
On Wednesday, the Lady Bearcats shot a season-low 236 at the Bent Oak Golf Course in Oak Grove to place third in a quad match involving the host Odessa Lady Bulldogs, along with Pleasant Hill and St. Paul’s. Odessa had the low team total with 211, followed by Pleasant Hill with 228 and St. Paul’s with 259.
Coach Courtney Adams said she was pleased to see her girls continuing to lower their scores as the season progresses. Harris had the low Lady Bearcat round with 50, with Sands carding a 58, followed by Schreier with 62, Jeffries with 66 and Dowell with 71.
Mallory Kloeppel of Odessa was the medalist with her 10-over par 46.
