Bulldogs among those in first 8-man All-Star game

William Jewell College in Liberty will be hosting the Missouri 8-Man Football Coaches Association All-Star game Saturday night.
It will be the first time the Association has put together this event, which will kickoff at 7 p.m. at Patterson Field/Green Stadium on the campus of William Jewell College.
The Hardin-Central Bulldogs will be well represented with two players and a coach on the sidelines for the East squad. Bulldog Head Coach Kirk Thacker will be on coaching staff headed up by Mark Juhl of the state runner-up St. Joseph Christian Lions. Other assistants for the East will be Dan Collins of Stanberry and Kevin Heyde of Stewartsville.
Playing on the East Squad will be former Bulldogs Daniel Carpenter and Lukas Milligan.
Other members of the East team are: David Buhman, Jake Rose and Zach Doyle, St. Joe Christian; Cody Moore, West Nodaway; Dakota Gill, Stewartsville; Kyler Hiatt and Aaron Summers, Worth County; Scoot Anderson and Robert Quimby, South Holt; Tyler Garrett, Worth County; Duke Jacobs and Nick Hogan, Stewartsville; Shawn Doughty, South Holt; Bill Hodge, Stanberry; Brady Crockett, DeKalb.
The West will be coached by 2009 State 8-Man Football Champion head coach Brian Messer of Mound City and assistant coaches Matt Messick of Craig/Fairfax, and Michael Seufert of North Andrew.
Playing for the West will be: Nathan Rice, Steelville; Connor Nichaolas and Kolton Jones, West Nodaway; Cole Rosier, Miles Clifton and Jacob Parker of Mound City; Michael Trautz, Garrett Pulley and Chris Goedken of South Nodaway; Dodger Lance and Micah Boswell of North Andrew; Shelby Hamilton, West Nodaway; Caleb Wright, Craig/Fairfax.
Tickets will be available at the game beginning at 5 p.m. for $7 per person. There will also be colored programs featuring individual pictures of all the players and the stats on sale at the game for $5. Fans may also want to purchase a DVD of the game that will be available for $10.
Players were selected by the Missouri 8-Man Football Coaches Association.
