Steele, Smoot to wed in September

Gregg and Ellen Steele of Richmond, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura, to Brett Smoot, son of Greg and Linda Smoot of LaPlata, Mo.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Richmond High School. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007 with a master’s in accountancy. She is employed by KPMG in Kansas City.
The groom-to-be is a 2001 graduate of LaPlata High School. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Smoot is employed by Target Corporation in Kansas City.
The couple is planning a September 19, 2009 wedding at the United Methodist Church in Richmond, with a reception at Harrah’s in North Kansas City.
