The Barton County Sheriff has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing person incident that occurred at 1100 Pine, Golden City, Mo. at 7:25 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2009.
The missing person is a white female, Dusty D. Pitts, 16, and white male Cody G. Smith, 19.
Vehicle information: Red 1999 Pontiac Grand Am bearing Kan. plate XEE586. Last seen – unknown.
Pitts is 5’5,” 130 lbs., blond hair, blue eyes, fair complexion with unknown physical marks and wearing unknown clothing at the time she went missing.
Smith is 6,’ 175 lbs, blond hair and hazel eyes, with a fair complexion, unknown physical marks, and wearing unknown clothing.
At the time of the pair’s disappearance, Pitts was depressed and left the area with Smith. Both left suicide notes telling family they didn’t need to worry about them anymore. They left the area in a Red 1999 Pontiac Grand Am that is reported stolen out of Kansas. Both subjects and vehicle are entered into NCIC.
Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Barton County Sheriff at 417-682-5515.
