The bridge connecting Highway 210 and Route EE west of Richmond is finally open.
Last spring, Missouri Department of Transportation officials closed the 60-year-old bridge that spans over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad line after a routine inspection revealed that the support system on one side of the bridge had been compromised by a rock slide. MoDOT officials immediately closed the bridge.
According to a MoDOT press release, about 224 drivers use the bridge daily. The release also says the project was done on time and under budget.
