A Wood Heights man is facing 14 felony counts for selling marijuana and possessing illegal prescription drugs.
James D. McMillen, 46, is facing one class B felony for possession and distribution of marijuana. He is facing an additional 13 class C felonies for possession of illegal prescription drugs.
According to the affidavit of probable cause the Ray County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint on August 25, 2008 at the residence of McMillen.
McMillen gave officers consent to search his house where numerous items including narcotics, paraphernalia and cash were found concealed and in the open.
Officers recovered 1124 grams of marijuana, numerous Baggies, digital scales and various prescription drugs.
Officers said on Thursday that it appears that some of the prescription drugs may belong to McMillen’s live-in girlfriend. Prosecutors at this time do not have any plans to file charges against the girlfriend.
McMillen was arrested on Wednesday and is being held in the Ray County Jail on $25,000 bond with no 10 percent allowed.
