The Orrick Bearcats turned in their highest 9-hole total of the season Tuesday afternoon, but still managed to sweep a triangular match from Gallatin and Plattsburg at the Shirkey Golf Course.
The Bearcats carded a team-total 200, but it was still 24 shots better than Plattsburg, while Gallatin ended the match with 245. Orrick’s Preston Karnes and Joe Kaufman tied for low score as each shot 43, but Karnes was awarded the medalist honors on a scorecard playoff.
Kalija Rogers carded a 55 for Orrick, followed by Matt Waters with 59 and Eric Rodenberg with 64. Bryce Roberts and Joey Pelham each shot 55 for the low Plattsburg rounds, with Terrill Wood’s 59 leading Gallatin.
The Bearcat junior varsity defeated Plattsburg 249-276.
