The Richmond Board of Education has approved the Summer School schedule for 2009.
For kindergarten through sixth grade, classes will run June 8-19 from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Richmond Middle School.
Remedial reading or enrichment reading/math, plus enrichment classes featuring a summer camp theme will be available for elementary students. Students will enjoy such activities as line dancing, arts and crafts and outdoor games.
Grades seven and eight will meet June 1-18 from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Richmond High School. Only two classes will be offered. Students may take remedial reading and math.
Lunch will be available for kindergarten through eighth grades. Cost is yet to be determined.
Grades nine through 12 will meet June 1-18 at the high school, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for credit recovery, driver’s education and physical fitness.
Information for signing up for summer school will be sent home with students in the near future.
