At least one county resident experienced the consequences of trying to drive through water. Yesterday, a county woman had to call 911 for help when she drove into standing water near Hickory Grove Road.
With water overtaking the vehicle, the woman was able to get out and the Ray County Sheriff’s Department took her to the waiting Ray County Ambulance. No injuries were reported. Flooding of many rural areas, such as Daugherty Road, pictured right, will increase with last night’s heavy rains.
