Hardin-Central held Wellington-Napoleon to single-digit scoring in all four quarters Tuesday night as the Lady Bulldogs picked up a 53-25 road victory.
It was the eighth victory in a row for the Hardin-Central girls as they improve to 16-3 for the season, while the Lady Tigers drop to 3-14.
Brooke Derstler scored 7 of her game-high 17 points in the opening quarter as the Lady Dawgs built an 18-4 lead, and then increased their halftime cushion to 28-9.
Hardin-Central held a 21-8 scoring edge in the third with the final 8 minutes played under the running clock.
Brianne McGuire added 10 points for the Lady Bulldogs, followed by Allison Oyler with 8, Megan Layman with 7, and Reanna Newham with 6.
Kayla Carrillo and Jade Warren scored 2 points apiece, with Jessica Calhoun adding a free throw.
Kaitlin Soendker led the Lady Tiger scoring with 8 points.
Hardin-Central converted 11 of 18 free throws, with Wellington-Napoleon making just 4 of 13.
