The Lone Jack offense had trouble getting started in its Braymer Invitational semifinal matchup with Stet Thursday night, but then rolled on to a 59-51 victory over the Cardinals.
The Mules trailed 13-9 after the opening 8 minutes, but then scored in double figures in the final three periods to send Stet into the third-place contest Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Kyle Osweiler and Tyler Wood led the Lone Jack scoring with Osweiler hitting for a team-high 16, and Wood adding 14. Ryan Foster led Stet with a game-high 20 points, followed by Kaleb Newham with 12, and Chris Desselle with 11. Derek McGinnis added 6 for the Cards, and Walter Walker chipped in 2.
Stet held a 13-9 lead after the first period, but Lone Jack came back to take a 25-21 lead at the half, and a 43-33 cushion into the final 8 minutes.
