Two local teenagers suffered moderate injuries last night in a two car accident.
Nicholas Jones, 18, of Richmond and Vanessa Palier, 17, of Richmond were both transported by Ray County EMS to North Kansas City Hospital according to a Missouri Highway patrol report.
The driver of the other vehicle, David Sparks, 30, of Liberty suffered minor injuries and was transported by Ray County EMS to Ray County Memorial Hospital. All three persons were wearing a safety device according to the report.
The accident occurred at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday night on Missouri 10 Highway and Tree Farm Road.
The car driven by Jones turned onto eastbound Missouri 10 Highway from Tree Farm Road and was struck by the vehicle driven by Sparks, according to the report.
The Jones vehicle was totaled while Sparks’ vehicle suffered extensive damage according to the report.
No summons were issued, however an investigation continues and charges are pending according to the report.
