Grid Dawgs receive 8-man honors

Five members of the Hardin-Central Bulldogs received post-season honors for their efforts this past football season.
Senior Lukas Milligan was selected to the first-team All-State 8-man football squad. Milligan was named first team on both the offensive and defensive lines. Milligan was in on 105 tackles including 6 quarterback sacks this season.
Four other Bulldogs received second-team honors. Chris Wilson, a junior, was named at running back and defensive end. Wilson ran for 1,627 yards and scored 23 touchdowns on 240 carries while making 85 tackles on defense.
Patrick King was named to the second-team defensive backfield after making 6 interceptions and 63 tackles this season.
Two other Bulldogs were named second-team offense with Mark Carpenter at tight end where he caught 22 passes for 271 yards and 9 touchdowns, and Daniel Carpenter on the line.
The Bulldogs also received Dream Team recognition during the banquet held earlier this week. Wilson was named the 8-man offensive player of the year, with Carpenter selected the defensive player of the year. Coach Kirk Thacker was also named as the Dream Team 8-man coach of the year.
