Allen and Alycia Smith of Fort Wayne, Ind., are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Erin Marie Smith of Parkville, to Brandon Wayne Stevenson of Kansas City, Mo., on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008. The groom is the son of Larry and Leslie Stevenson of Richmond.
The wedding was held at the Highlands Community of Christ Church in Kansas City, Mo., officiated by Elders Wayne Janks and Lester Stevenson, the groom’s grandfathers.
The reception was held at Staley Farms in Kansas City, Mo.
Music was provided by pianist Janelle Brooner. The groom’s uncle, Kim Sivyer was vocal soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white strapless, A-line corset back gown of empress taffeta, ornamented on the bodice with lace overlay accented with pearls and beading. Flowers were green roses and stephanotis.
The maid of honor was Heather Brooner. Matron of honor was Erin Roberson. Friends of the bride served as bridesmaids: Sara Churchman, Annie Bowman and sister-in-law of the bride, Mandi Smith. All wore black dresses in the style of their choice and carried white roses and green mums.
The flower girl was Lyndi Smith, niece of the bride.
Adam Carroll and Ryan Gustafson, friends of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Justin Stevenson, brother of the groom; Ryan Sivyer, cousin of the groom; and Chris Smith, brother of the bride.
Ring bearer was Jackson Smith, nephew of the bride.
Ushers were the bride’s cousins Doug Hunter and Matt Hunter.
The bride received a BA in Business in 2005 from Graceland University and an MBA from the University of Kansas in 2008. She is employed by State Street in Kansas City, Mo.
The groom previously attended Graceland University and is currently working toward his education degree at Missouri Western State University.
The couple has planned a wedding trip to California and is residing in Parkville.
