Lexington Firefighters control the blaze that destroyed an apartment building, formerly the Douglass School, on Friday afternoon. Lexington Fire Department responded to the call at 1 p.m. and left the scene at 10:30 p.m. with mutual aid from Richmond, Wellington, Corder-Dover and Ray County Ambulance.
