In their last tune-up before Monday’s district tournament, the Orrick Lady Bearcat golfers fell 10 strokes shy of North Kansas City at the Claycrest Golf Course on Tuesday.
A short-handed Orrick squad shot 254, with North Kansas City ending the day with 244.
The Lady Bearcats were without Bailee Jeffries, who did not play due to illness.
“Gabriella Pigg played well again,” Orrick Coach Courtney Adams said. “Her scores have lowered each time that she has played. We missed Bailee’s score. She has been playing well.”
Kristee Harris had the low Orrick round with 61, while Bailey Schreier was one shot behind. Also for the Lady Bearcats were Pigg with 64, Malorie Arnold with 64 and Mackenzie Brooks with 72.
Natalie Bates of NKC was the medalist for the afternoon with a 57 on the par-36 course.
