Ruth Marie Burnett, 87, of Higginsville, formerly of Lexington, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Ruth Marie Noffzinger was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Tinney’s Grove, Mo., the daughter of Ernest and Mina Allison Noffzinger. Ruth graduated from Braymer High School in 1938 and then attended cosmetology school. Ruth married Jack Burnett Oct. 26, 1944, in Braymer; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Tom Burnett and his wife, Barbara, of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, Timothy Lewis Larkin of Atlanta, Ga., Rita Marie Larkin of Ashville, N.C., Austin Tyler Larkin of Cummings, Ga., Krista Burnett Drake of Carmel, Ind., Kelly Elizabeth Burnett of Lake Tahoe, Nev.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Reve Mallory and her husband, Wallace, of Carrollton.
In addition to her parents and husband, her daughter, Sara Larkin, preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Hospital memorial fund.
Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 15 at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services immediately followed the visitation at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial was in Braymer Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
