Forrest P. Bartley, 88, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mr. Bartley was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Hardin, the son of Clement Lee and Hazel E. Evans Bartley. He married Frances Lee Puckett Nov. 23, 1946 in Lexington; she survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include; two daughters, Etta Fennel of Ellington, Fla., and Carol Tulipana of Lexington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie Bartley and his wife, Pamela, of Higginsville, and Ronnie Bartley, and his wife, Renee, of Rayville; two brothers, Don Bartley and Bob Bartley, both of Lexington; three sisters, Betty Jo LoPorto of Kansas City, Billie Ann Strutton of Richland, and Wilma Barnes of Highland, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
His parents, a brother, J. E. Bartley, and three sisters, Florence Foraker, Gloria Howard, and Loretta Rockhold, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 7, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services immediately followed the visitation at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial was in Dover Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
