Orrick finished in the middle of the group Wednesday in a triangular golf match held at the Tri-City Country Club in Emma. The Lady Bearcats shot 231 for the day. Odessa turned in the low team score with 213, and St. Paul’s shot 263.
Jessica Moore of Odessa was the medalist for the afternoon with a 44 on the par-36 course, with her teammate Ashley Zeih shooting a 50 to finish as the runner-up.
Bailee Jeffries had the low Orrick round with a 56, while Kristee Harris was one shot behind and Bailey Schreier was next with 58. Gabriella Pigg carded her personal best with 60, with Malorie Arnold shooting 64.
Orrick Coach Courtney Adams was pleased with her team’s round.
“All of the girls played extremely well,” she said. “This is the lowest team score of the season and I am really impressed with Gabriella. We are going to continue working hard at practice with districts right around the corner.”
Deana Weinburg had the low score of the afternoon for St. Paul’s with a 52.
Kailyn Dowell shot a 68 for the Lady Bearcat junior varsity, with Makenzie Brooks carding a 71 for the match.
Orrick will play North Kansas City at Claycrest on Tuesday to wrap up the regular season. The district tournament will be held Oct. 6 at the Shirkey Golf Course.
