Lexington snaps Orrick win streak

The Orrick Lady Bearcats dropped their first volleyball match since Sept. 9 on Monday when they lost a three-game decision at Lexington. The Lady Bearcats saw their seven-match string end when they were on the short end of a 25-18, 24-26, 17-25 final to the Minutewomen.
Brooke Endsley and Elizabeth Clark had 13 service points each for Orrick, now 7-4. Clark added 5 aces, with Martin hitting 3. Micaela Martin was also in double figures with 10 service points and 3 aces. Amanda Rodenberg had 13 kills and 27 attacks for Orrick, to go along with a team-high 22 digs. Amy Isenhour led the way in assists with 27 and also had a half dozen digs. Leslie LaFavor added 14 digs, 3 aces and 10 service points for Orrick.
The Orrick junior varsity dropped to 0-2 for the season with a 20-25, 18-25 loss. Jessika John had a team-high 15 points for the JV Lady Cats. She also led with 11 assists. Caitlin Stevinson added 8 points, and also led in attacks with 8, kills with 6, and 15 assists.
Jena Shaw had 6 digs and 4 attacks.
