There are just a few matches remaining for the Orrick Lady Bearcat golfers before they head into the district tournament. The young Lady Bearcats scramble team of Malorie Arnold and Bailey Schreier shot a third-place total of 103 Friday at the Clinton County Invitational held at the Plattsburg Country Club.
Orrick finished ninth in the 12-team field with 342. Maryville had the low team score with 289 in the format that included individual, best ball and scramble events. Lawson grabbed second spot with 296, while Cameron placed third with 311 and Excelsior Springs, fourth with 313.
Bailey Jefferies and Gabriella Pigg teamed up for a 122 in the best ball, and Kristee Harris shot 117 in the individual competition for Orrick. Lawson’s scramble duo of Kaitlin Hartman and Savanna Corbett placed second with 102, while the best ball team of Paige Bennett and Donna Gallman shot 97 to take third. Shelby Malott was third in individual with 97 on the par-71 course.
