Dianna Mae (Driskell) Gleed, 64, of Stover, died at 10:20 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City.
Dianna was born June 11, 1944, in Richmond, the daughter of Harold Francis and Goldie Frances (Gash) Driskell. She married Ernest K. Gleed of Logan, Utah on Jan. 17, 1990; he survives, of the home.
Dianna owned and operated Gleed Construction Company for ten years. She was also a beautician, licensed real estate agent and had worked at Lake City Arsenal. Dianna was a Baptist. She lived in Richmond before moving to Stover twelve years ago. She was a member of the Ivy Bend Water Board.
Additional survivors include: one son, Roger G. Taylor of Eldon; one daughter and son-in-law, Shonda L. Gordon and her husband, Donald, of Grain Valley; three grandchildren, Kristopher Gordon, Dylan Taylor and Reyna Taylor; double first cousin, Linda (Driskell) Barnett and her husband, John, of Richmond; and a niece, Dina Rena Blackmore and her family.
In addition to her parents, one brother, Gary Driskell, who died in infancy; and one sister, Judith Ann Hough, preceded her in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 1, at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in Richmond.
