Ellen Nadeen Gray, 75, of Lawson, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Liberty Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Ellen was born May 31, 1933, the daughter of Walter R. and Ruth (Trent) Hughes in Oklahoma City, Okla. She married William Cleo Gray Nov. 6, 1952, in Ark. Ellen was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ in Excelsior Springs.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Renee Richardson and her husband, David Bailey, of Asheville, N.C., and Susie Summers and her husband, Kim, of Liberty; foster-daughter, Estella Bradley and her husband, Gene, of Mills River, N.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, Hershall Gray and his wife, Fran, of Wood Heights; one sister, Carol Clevenger, of Pleasant Hill; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, and brother, preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Odyssey Hospice.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 25, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 26, at the funeral home. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m., in Salem Cemetery in Wakenda.
