Charles “Gene” Gulley, 82, of Lawson, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at his home.
Gene was born May 30, 1926 in Lawson, the son of Oscar and Ella (Parker) Gulley. He married Marjorie Marie (Teegarden) Gulley May 22, 1948 in Dearborn.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Gene was a member of Bee Hive Lodge and a member of the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Lawson.
Survivors include: many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Marjorie, who died Jan. 11, 2006, two brothers, Roy and Olen “Doc” Gulley, and two sisters, Louise Partin and Lovita Gaines, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the church or the Lawson Fire and Rescue.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 17, at the Polley Funeral Home in Lawson. There will also be a Masonic service during the visitation Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday July 18, at the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Lawson. Burial will be in the Lawson Cemetery.
