Norma Lea Ray, 68, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Friday July 11, 2008, at her home.
Norma was born March 28, 1940 in Kidder, the daughter of William Brown and Nellie Ruth (Cutler) Luther. She married Robert Lee Ray March 11, 1960 in Kansas City, Mo.; he survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: three daughters, Ruby Noble of Kansas City, Bonnie Friend of Bowling Green, Ky., and Connie Bray of Excelsior Springs; two sons, Robert Ray of Kansas City and Roger Ray of Liberty; three brothers, Bill Luther of Bethany, Jack Luther of Kansas City and Jimmy Dale Luther of Hamilton; one sister, Betty Evans of Excelsior Springs; and six grandchildren, Tara, Emalea, Kaine, Logan, Morgan and Taylor.
Her parents, one brother, Art, and one sister, Patty, preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care or the American Cancer Society.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Inurnment will be at a later date.
