Anna Dean Cravens, 62, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Thursday July 3, 2008 at her home.
Anna was born Jan. 22, 1946 in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Raymond Kenneth and Iva Geraldine (Noble) Norton. She married Roger Durwood Cravens, Jr. on June 15, 2007; he preceded her in death Dec. 2, 2007.
Anna had been employed as a certified nurses aid and had worked in the Excelsior Springs area all of her life.
Survivors include: one son, Shawn Cravens of Richmond; two brothers, Mike Munson and William Munson, both of Carrollton; four sisters, Retta Taylor of Lawson, Carolyn Newens of Wisc., Tammy Shelton of La., and Elizabeth Gossen of Iowa; and two step-grandsons, Jason and Jacob.
In addition to her husband, Roger and her parents, one daughter, Deanna Norton, three brothers, Kenneth Norton, Charles Munson and Louis Munson, and one sister Ida Bastow, preceded her in death.
The family has requested memorials be made to the Anna Cravens Memorial Fund in care of Polley Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday July 12, at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Inurnment will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery.
