Joyce Elaine Driver, 65, died at 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Joyce was born Dec. 14, 1942, in Excelsior Springs, the daughter of Edgar E. and Nellie M. (Martin) Clay. She married Dennis Dale Driver of Richmond, May 6, 1995. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 2006. Joyce was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She lived in the Richmond area most of her life.
Survivors include; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin Malloy and his wife, Nancy, of Boise, Idaho, Keith Driver and his wife, Angela, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria Cunningham and her husband, Jack Jr., of Richmond, Sheryl Waters and her husband, Tom, of Orrick, and Carmen Kiser and her husband, Joe, of Shelbyville; and eight grandchildren, Jack Cunningham III, Lacey Cunningham, Callie Kiser, Clay Kiser, Carrie Kiser, Devon Waters, Delaney Waters and Delilah Grace Driver.
In addition to her parents and husband, one brother, Edgar L. “Eddie” Clay, and two sisters, Betty Rogers and Donna Nordsieck Simpson, preceded her in death.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the Vitas Hospice of Independence.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 20, at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 21, at the funeral home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Richmond Memory Gardens in Richmond.
