Kenneth G. Day, 77, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008, at North Kansas City Hospital.
Mr. Day was born April 24, 1931 in Spur, Texas, the son of Marshall and Jewel Rutledge Day. He married Betty Jean Wilson on March 29, 2002 in Tow, Texas.
Kenneth owned and operated Day Concrete Construction for many years.
Survivors include: three daughters Carol Gadde of Independence, Teresa Barger of Lexington and Jennifer Coleman of Collinsville, Texas; one son, Daniel Day of Marshall; two step-daughters, Wanda L. Creason of Pleasant Hill and Lynda VanKirk of Lexington; one sister, Joy Smith, of Tow, Texas; one brother, Jerry Don Watson of Texas; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
His parents, one son Kenneth Glenn Day, Jr., and one great-granddaughter, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, at Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens.
