Patsy Nadine Driskell, 80, died at 12:10 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2008, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law.
Mrs. Driskell was born on April 21, 1928, in Sweet Springs, the daughter of William F. and Leona M. (Shields) Gash. She married Quinley P. Driskell of Marshall, on Oct. 8, 1943; he preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1992.
Mrs. Driskell had been a production worker at the Lake City Arsenal for ten years. She was of the Christian faith and lived in Richmond most of her life.
Survivors include; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Gail Barnett and her husband, John Barnett, Jr. of the home; one granddaughter, Dina Rena Blackmore, three great-granddaughters, Niccole Rena Pearon, Alexandria Nadine Pearon and Alena Blackmore; one nephew, Robert Driskell and three nieces, Dianna Gleed, Sharon Hunter and Kathy Driskell.
In addition to her parents and husband, one brother, Garrett “Bobby” Gash; two sisters, Goldie Frances Driskell, Helen Sidebottom; and one niece, Judith Ann Hough, preceded Mrs. Driskell in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for children.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 16, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Richmond.
