Ronald George Dooley, 76, of Platte City, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 of cancer.
Ronald was born Sept. 7, 1931, the son of Jesse and Ottie Dooley of Morton. He married Carol DeAun Crane on Nov. 16, 1953. Ron was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from TWA in Oct. 1993. He was a member of the Platte City Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on old cars and the camaraderie of his many friends.
Survivors include: two sons, Dale Dooley and Steve Dooley, both of Liberty; two daughters, Debora Probst of Gladstone, and Nancy Egerstrom of Lee’s Summit; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
His parents, one son, Mike Dooley of Gladstone, one sister and one brother, preceded him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Care Hospice or St. Jude’s Hospital.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Thursday, June 12, at the United Methodist Church in Platte City. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City.
