Waldena James (McQuerrey) Isley, 87 of Pleasant Valley, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008, at her home.
Waldena was born May 31, 1921 in Rayville, the daughter of Waldon and Tempa Lee (James) McQuerrey. She was united in marriage to Lewis H. Isley in May 1940 in Perryton, Texas; he preceded her in death in 1980.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, James L. Isley and his wife, Paula, of Excelsior Springs, and Jerry W. Isley of Pleasant Valley; one daughter, Janet Sykes of Pleasant Valley; one sister, Wanda Fuller of Brownsville, Texas; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, her parents preceded her in death.
The family has suggested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 9, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
