WillaGene (Estill) Fann, 83, of Lawson, passed away Tuesday June 3, 2008, at Liberty Hospital.
WillaGene was born Aug. 29, 1924 in Lawson, the daughter of Lawrence Denny and Mary (Rhodus) Estill. She married Isham Hand Fann.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Fann and his wife, Patricia, of Rockville, Md.; and two grandsons, Michael Fann, Jr. and Alan Fann, both of Rockville, Md.
WillaGene was born and raised in the Lawson community where she attended Lawson Grade School and graduated in 1942. She attended William-Jewel University in Liberty. WillaGene lived in various cities throughout the U.S. including: New Orleans, La., Corpus Christi, Texas and Washington, D.C. She had worked for the Federal Aviation Commission followed by 20 years at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. where she was a library clerk. In 1975 she retired and returned to Lawson where she had since resided.
Her parents and her husband, preceded her in death in 1969.
Cremation. There is no public visitation scheduled. A graveside committal service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 9, at the Lawson Cemetery.
