Bev Myers, 85, of Hardin, died at 3:24 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2008, east of Hardin, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Bev was born Feb. 4, 1923 north of Hardin, the son of Daniel Arthur Myers, Sr. and Ida May (Broughton) Myers.
Bev worked for his parents at the Hardin Produce. He later owned and operated Myers’ T.V. in Hardin. He lived in Hardin most of his life. He was a member of the Hardin First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir and was a Deacon. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: one sister and brother-in-law, Ardath Raffety and her husband, Ken, of Cameron; sister-in-law, Louise Myers; cousin, George Griffin III of Smithton; six nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.
In addition to his parents, one brother, Daniel Arthur Myers, Jr.; and one sister, Doris Druann Myers, preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hardin First Baptist Church or the Hardin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, June 6, at the First Baptist Church in Hardin. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Hardin Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion Post #237 and Richmond VFW Post #4398.
Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
