Jewell Elizabeth Fry, 92, of San Bernadino, Calif., passed away Nov. 26, 2007, at the San Bernadino Medical Center, where she had lived for several years.
Jewell was born Jan. 21, 1915, the daughter of Charles E. and Cora May Fry, near Houston, Mo. Jewell was one of eight children. She loved her family, and was a great help to her mother with the younger children. She was always good to the other siblings, and they loved her very much. Jewell made her permanent home in California because she loved the climate. She loved her Lord, and was a loving and kind hearted sister, who loved her family, and they loved her.
Survivors include: three sisters, Shirley Scarafiotti of Santa Fe, N.M., Lenora Taylor of Omaha, Neb., and Larkie Shull of Excelsior Springs; and many nieces and nephews who mourn their loss.
Her parents, two sisters Birdeen Frock and Betty Rose Pfalmer, and two brothers James Clovis Fry and Vernon Henry Fry, preceded her in death.
A graveside memorial service for Jewell will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
