Harrietta V. Gilliam, 89, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Harrietta was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Napton, the daughter of Harry and Virginia (Hinton) Fall. She married John Gilliam on March 15, 1940. Mrs. Gilliam worked at many jobs in Marshall and Kansas City including Nelly Don’s in North Kansas City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Richmond.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, J.A. Gilliam Jr. and his wife, Willa, of Rayville; three grandsons, one granddaughter and nine great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband John, one son, H.W. (Bill) Gilliam, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter, preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the Living Memorial Fund at the First Baptist Church in Richmond.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 30, at the Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Graveside services will immediately follow the visitation at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall.
