Charles W. “Bill” Adams, 72, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Charles was born March 14, 1936, the son of Jewell Thomas Adams and Mary Orilla Crouse Adams in Ray County. He was first married to Bonnie Ruth Love, and of this union six children were born. Later, he married Gala JoAnn Morrison, who preceded him in death April 1999.
Survivors include: two sons, Bennie Jewell Adams and Charles William Adams, Jr., both of Excelsior Springs; one daughter, Bonnie Jean Curtis of Santa Clara, Calif.; one grandson; two granddaughters; one step-son, Rex Morrison of Lawson; two sisters, Myrtle Pate and Woneta Malott; and one brother, Earl Ray Adams, all of Excelsior Springs.
In addition to his wife, his parents, three brothers, two sisters, two daughters, and one son, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Tuesday May 13, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in the Polley Cemetery.
