Ami Melissa (Rose) Helden, 32, and her daughter, Jeanie Marie Gholson, 11, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, from injuries incurred in a car wreck in Ray County.
Ami Helden was born March 27, 1976, at Bass Memorial Hospital in Enid, Okla. Her daughter, Jeanie Marie Gholson, was born March 28 1997, in Blackwell, Okla.
Survivors include: Ami’s husband, Russell Helden, and children, Hollie Gholson, Corrie Gholson, Melissa Starks, William (Willie) Starks, step-sons, Justin Helden, Nicholas Helden, and Craig Helden, step-daughters Cynthia Helden, and Rachael Helden, and one step-grandson, Isaiah, all of the home; her mother and step-father, Rose Lee and her husband, Allen, of Richmond; her father and step-mother, Vernon Rose Sr., and his wife, Sally, of Texas; her in-laws, Walter Helden and his wife, Bonnie, of Lawson; one sister, Lenessia (Lisa Rose) Rowland, of Excelsior Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Vernon Rose Jr. and his wife, Paula, of La.; step-brothers Allen Jr., Mark, David, Chris and Curtis Lee; 21 nieces and nephews; grandparents Ron and Jeannine Appel of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; paternal grandmother, Nellie Rose of Enid, Okla.; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
One sister, Nellie Mae (Rose) Harris, and paternal-grandfather, Elton Leroy Rose, preceded them in death.
The family will receive friends and family from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 8, at Polley Funeral Home in Richmond. Memorial services will immediately follow from 7:30 – 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
