Carl Duane Pulliam, 81, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, at North Kansas City Hospital.
Mr. Pulliam was born Feb. 5, 1927, in Turney, the son of Norris W. and Genevieve V. (Silvius) Pulliam. He married Alberta Mae Holloway on April 5, 1947, in Richmond, who survives of the home.
Other suvivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven D. Pulliam and his wife, Jeanne, of Richmond, and Berry D. Pulliam and his wife, Annette, of Overland Park, Kan.; one brother and sister-in-law, Denzil Pulliam and his wife, Lealla, of Richmond; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, an infant child in 1956, and five brothers, W.A. Pulliam, Harol Pulliam, Curtis Pulliam, Joe Pulliam and one brother, Robert in infancy, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to New Hope Cemetery or Millville Methodist Church.
A visitation without the family, will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, at Polley Funeral Home in Richmond. Graveside services with military honors, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at New Hope Cemetery north of Hardin.
