Marjorie Elaine (Thornhill) Butherus, 80, of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2008, at her daughter’s home in Leawood, Kan.“Marge” was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Burlington Junction, the daughter of Will and Florence Wallace Thornhill. She married Paul F. Butherus on Feb. 15, 1947.
Survivors include: her husband, Paul, of the home; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ted Butherus, and his wife, Carol, of Naperville, Ill., Mark Butherus of Raytown,
Tom Butherus and his wife, Laurie, of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Marty Butherus, and his wife, Rita, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula Lynn and her husband, Darryl, of Leawood, Kan., and Pam Sanchez and her husband, Al, of Shawnee, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dolores Hull of Sacramento, Calif., and Carolyn Shriver and her husband, Jack, of Topeka, Kan.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lafayette County Red Cross, in Lexington.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with Rosary at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, April 23, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday April 24, at Immaculate Conception Church in Lexington.
Graveside services will be held at Lexington Memory Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
