Floyd Ray Minnick, 58, of Richmond, died at 4:11 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Floyd Ray Minnick was born on Jan. 17, 1950, in Richmond, the son of Floyd Jennings and Hazel Agnes (Williams) Minnick. He married Sonda K. Shockley of Lawson, on Sept. 6, 1980; she survives of the home.
Floyd was a production manager for American Wilcon Plastic, Inc. in Orrick. He was member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Polo.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Ray Minnick and his wife, Amanda, of Springfield; one daughter, Molly Anna Minnick of the home; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Rogena Malloy of Richmond, and Sharon Cox and her husband, Wallace, of Richmond; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, two brothers, Paul Kenneth Minnick, and William Lee Minnick died in infancy, and one half sister, Betty Judd, preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Faith Assembly of God Church in Polo.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 18, at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 19, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery in Richmond.
