Gwendolyn Atthette Jenkins, 73, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008, at the Lexington Care Center.
Gwendolyn was born March 21, 1935, in Brookfield, the daughter of Clinton and Irene Leaton Stufflebean. She married Floyd Jenkins, Jr., in Lexington. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lexington Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include: eight children, Ron Jenkins of Milwaukee, Wis., Joyce Jenkins of Phoenix, Ariz., Bonnie Maycock of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Pam Jenkins of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Guy Jenkins of Lexington, Corey Jenkins of Independence, Dene’ Moss of Lexington and Courtney Jenkins of Warrensburg; one brother, Wayne Stufflebean of Brookfield; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her parents and her husband, Floyd, and two sisters, Alice Slaughter and Gertrude Stufflebean, preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Visitation will be held from from noon until 2 p.m., Saturday, April 19, at the Second Baptist Church in Lexington. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m., at the church. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
