Glenn C. Bailey, 53, of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Lawson, passed away Tuesday April 8, 2008, at the St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson.
Glenn was born June 8, 1954 in Lawson, the son of Noah F. and Leta Mae (Holman) Bailey. Glenn was born and raised in Lawson and graduated from Lawson High School. He attended vocational school in Phoenix, Ariz., where afterward he was employed by McDonalds until the company expanded to include franchises for Church’s Chicken around 1980, at which time he moved to the Las Vegas area. He later was employed by Ethel M. Candy until his retirement in Oct. 2007. After retirement he worked part time for a marina on Lake Mead where he enjoyed boating.
Survivors include: his mother, Leta Mae Bailey of Lawson; three sisters, Leta Faye Sanders of Excelsior Springs, Ida Rose Pearon of Richmond and Evelyn Thomas of Lawson; two brothers, Jay Bailey of Excelsior Springs and John Bailey of Lawson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
His father preceded him in death in 1989.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday April 12, at the Polley Funeral Home in Lawson, with the family receiving friends at that time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Lawson.
