Claude F. Clevenger, Jr., 79, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008, at the Valley Manor in Excelsior Springs.
Claude was born Dec. 23, 1929, the son of Claude Francis and Nora Jane Clevenger in Bevere. He married Rosalee Duncan who survives of the home.
Claude served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He also worked as a local truck driver for Middle West Freightways. He was a member of Woods Memorial Christian Church of Excelsior Springs.
In addition to his wife, Rosalee, survivors include: by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jackie Ballard and her husband, David, of Camden, and Cathy Roberts of Excelsior Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Rickie Clevenger and his wife, Rene, of Kansas; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren
His parents and one brother Robert Clevenger, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at the Polley Funeral Home Chapel in Excelsior Springs. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, at the Old New Garden Cemetery near Excelsior Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
