Ida May Myers, 108, of Hardin, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Mrs. Myers was born April 30, 1899, in Morton, the daughter of James Roland and Ida Druzilla (Bright) Broughton. She married Daniel Arthur Myers, Sr., of Hardin, on June 2, 1920; he preceded her in death June 12, 1970.
Mrs. Myers co-owned and operated, with her husband, the Hardin Produce Company from 1925 to 1963 before retiring. She lived in Hardin most of her life. She was a 1919 graduate of Hardin High School. She was a member of the Hardin First Baptist Church and the Saturday Afternoon Garden Club.
Survivors include: one son, Beverly B. Myers of Hardin; one daughter and son-in-law, Ardath Raffety and her husband, Ken, of Cameron; one daughter-in-law, Louise Myers; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, one son, Daniel Arthur Myers, Jr., one daughter, Doris Druanne Myers, one brother, Hamer Broughton, one sister, Glenna Griffin, and one grandchild, Patricia Myers, preceded her in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hardin First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 5, at the Hardin First Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Hardin Cemetery.
