Elizabeth F. “Liz” Nash, 92, of Independence, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.
Liz was born Feb. 10, 1916 in Richmond, the daughter of Edward F. and Anna (Denton) Henry. Liz was a 1934 graduate of Hardin High School. She was owner/operator of “Take a Little Peek” Antiques and participated in many antique shows and had booths in many antique malls. Liz was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Eastern Star. She loved flowers and was a horticulturalist of African Violets.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Williams and her husband, Lyle, Jane McNett and her husband, Don; one son and daughter-in-law, James W. Nash and his wife, Sandy; one sister, Billie L. Spear; one brother, Jim Henry; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and four nephews.
Her husband, Elbert V. Nash, one daughter Elizabeth Diane Propst, one son Richard Joseph Nash and one sister, Hazel Russell, preceded her in death.
Visitation was held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, at Mt. Washington Forever Mausoleum Chapel in Independence. The funeral service immediately followed the visitation at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial was in Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo.
Arrangements were under the direction of Mt. Washington Forever Funeral Home in Independence.
