Norman Virgil Berry, 94, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Hamilton following a brief illness.
Norman was born Sept. 5, 1913, in Cole Camp, the son of James Washington Berry and Martha Merchant Berry. He married Mildred Elizabeth Hinds April 22, 1938, in Nevada; she survives of the home.
Mr. Berry spent his youth in Vernon County, Mo. He made his living as a superintendent of construction working for George Bauman as well as Huxtable Hammond and retired in 1975. He spent the past 40 years of his life in Hamilton, and was a member of the Christian Church.
In addition to his wife Mildred, survivors include: one daughter, Beverly Huhs of Hamilton; eight grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
His parents, one son, James Lee Berry, three brothers and two sisters, preceded him in death.
A private burial was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Newton Burial Park in Nevada, Mo.
